Buying in China: what you need to know
China is the world’s largest air conditioner producer. Gree (Zhuhai), Midea (Foshan, Shunde), Haier (Qingdao), as well as Hisense, AUX and TCL make split systems, multi-splits, VRF systems and chillers. There are also OEM factories that assemble air conditioners under other companies’ brands, including brands well known in CIS markets, and ventilation equipment makers in Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Guangdong provinces.
For Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries, climate is the key factor. Summer temperatures reach +45 °C, and the air conditioner must keep its cooling capacity in such conditions: this requires a compressor and heat exchanger rated for the T3 climate class. If the unit is used for heating, operation at −15…−20 °C matters, which low-temperature inverter models provide. A standard “European” model works at its limit in the heat and loses capacity. We also take dust and voltage fluctuations into account: board protection and outdoor unit filters matter for them.
When choosing an air conditioner supplier in China, we look at the compressor brand, the size and material of the heat exchangers, the refrigerant (R32 or R410A), the energy efficiency class and spare parts availability. For VRF and chillers, a system calculation is added: loads per room, pipe lengths, controls. Tier-one factories do such calculations themselves; small suppliers sell boxes. For ventilation, fans must be selected by airflow and system pressure, not by motor power.
What we do differently: we select equipment by the building’s heat load and climate, order a VRF or chiller–fan coil system calculation from the factory, and check completeness and testing before shipping. Before shipping we check unit models and quantities against the project specification. - We check the outdoor operating temperature range in the factory documents: cooling in heat up to +45 °C and heating in winter mode.

Shipping: what to keep in mind
Bulky cargo
Air conditioners are bulky; we calculate container loading by number of boxes. Outdoor units are stowed upright only.
Refrigerant in the system
Units ship with a factory refrigerant charge — we take this into account in the transport documents.
Large equipment
High-capacity chillers and air handling units go on flat-rack platforms or in containers with securing.
Documents and certificates
Uzbekistan
O‘zstandart certificate of conformity for air conditioners and ventilation equipment subject to mandatory certification. We check by HS code.
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia (EAEU)
Residential air conditioners generally fall under TR CU 004/2011 and 020/2011; industrial equipment also under TR CU 010/2011. We check by HS code.

Passports, Russian-language manuals and refrigerant data — we request them from the factory before shipping.
Requirements depend on the exact HS code. We check them before purchase and include the cost of certification in the quote.

What about spare parts and service?
Together with the shipment we order a stock of fast-moving spare parts: boards, sensors, fans. For your own brand, we agree with the factory to supply spare parts for the warranty period.
