How it is calculated
- Groupage (LTL truck)
- Carriers charge by weight or by volume, whichever is greater. Light, bulky cargo is charged as 300 kg per 1 m³.
- Air
- Volumetric weight per the IATA standard: 1 m³ = 167 kg. You pay for the greater of actual and volumetric weight.
- Container and truck
- The calculator determines the number of containers or trucks by volume and weight: 20 ft — up to 28 m³, 40 ft — up to 58 m³, truck — up to 86 m³ and 20 t.
- Customs value
- Value of goods + shipping + insurance. Duty is calculated on this, then VAT on (value + duty), plus the customs fee.

Is this the final price?
No, it is an estimate. The exact price depends on the HS code, shipping date, exact factory address and current carrier rates. Click “Get an exact quote” and we will send it with routes.
Why is the range so wide?
We show the spread of published prices from different carriers. As a rule, for a specific shipment we find a price closer to the lower end.
Where is your fee in the calculation?
It is not included here. The cost of our services depends on the scope of work and is fixed in the contract in advance. There are no hidden markups on shipping.
Can VAT be recovered?
VAT-registered companies can usually offset import VAT. Check with your accountant.
How do I find out the exact duty?
It depends on the 10-digit HS code. Send us a description of the goods and we will determine the code and rate before purchase.
