Buying in China: what you need to know

China’s main centre for industrial sewing machines is Taizhou (Zhejiang), home to Jack, Zoje and hundreds of other factories. Typical (Standard) is a long-established manufacturer from Xi’an. Embroidery machines are made in large numbers in Zhuji (Zhejiang), circular knitting machines in Fujian (Quanzhou, Jinjiang), and looms in Shandong and Jiangsu. Buying sewing equipment from China wholesale pays off for factories in Uzbekistan, where the light industry is growing and hundreds of identically specified machines are needed.

Machines are chosen by operation and material. Direct-drive lockstitch machines with automatic thread trimming are the backbone of a shop; overlockers and coverstitch machines are for knitwear; denim and outerwear need heavy-duty and twin-needle machines; special machines (buttonhole, button sewing, bartack) are chosen according to the garment. For embroidery, the number of heads, needles and the embroidery field matter; for cutting — the spreading method and lay height.

Even well-known brands have ranges of different levels: basic mechanical models and models with servo motors, automatic thread trimming, presser foot lift and programmable functions. Small factories sell copies of popular models with compatible parts — cheaper, but casting and electronics quality is inconsistent. We compare brand and manufacturer offers on the same configuration. For a sewing equipment supplier, spare parts availability and a clear warranty scheme matter too: we fix these terms in the contract rather than leaving them to a verbal agreement.

Common buyer mistakes are buying machines without tables and servo motors for the right voltage, not ordering needles, presser feet and spare parts, and mixing a dozen models from different manufacturers in one shop, which complicates maintenance. We draw up the shop specification by operation, test the machines at the factory with a trial seam on your fabric, and ship to Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and other CIS countries.

How we check this particular product

Trial seam
We test the machines with a seam on your fabric and thread, checking the stitch, tension and thread trimming.
Configuration
We check the head model, motor, table, stand, voltage and accessory kit for each item.
Brand authenticity
For branded machines we check markings, serial numbers and the supply channel so you do not receive a copy.
Embroidery and printing
We run a test design and check accuracy, speed and software compatibility.
Spare parts and consumables
We agree a kit of needles, presser feet, hooks, knives and other wear parts for the whole fleet of machines.

What to send for an accurate quote

  • Product range: what you sew and from which fabrics
  • List of operations or number of workstations

  • For embroidery — number of heads, needles, embroidery field
  • For knitting and weaving — machine gauge, width, yarn

Shipping: what to keep in mind

Machine batches

Sewing machines are compact — a large batch packs well into a truck or container; tables travel flat-packed.

Heavy textile equipment

Knitting machines, looms and cutting systems need rigid packaging and careful loading.

Urgent items

Spare parts, needles and control boards can go by air (3–7 days), the main batch by road or rail.

Documents and certificates

Uzbekistan

An O‘zstandart certificate of conformity — for equipment on the mandatory certification list. We check by HS code.

Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia (EAEU)

Usually TR CU 010/2011, and 004/2011 and 020/2011 for the electrical part. We check requirements by the HS code of each item.

For all countries

An invoice and packing list with models and serial numbers simplify customs clearance and warranty service.

Requirements depend on the exact HS code. We check them before purchase and include the cost of certification in the quote.

Questions about this category

Where can I buy Jack industrial sewing machines wholesale?

We buy from manufacturers and their distributors in China and check the supply channel. Send us a list of operations — we will select models and quote prices by configuration.

Jack, Zoje or Typical — which to choose?

All three are large manufacturers with broad ranges. The choice depends on operations, budget and service availability in your region. We compare them on the same configuration so the decision is based on numbers.

Can you equip a turnkey sewing shop?

Yes. We draw up a specification by operation, include cutting, pressing, special machines, tables and spare parts, and ship it all in one consignment.

Do you supply embroidery machines?

Yes, multi-head machines with the required number of needles and embroidery field. We check them with a test embroidery before shipment.

Do you have DTF and sublimation printing equipment?

Yes: printers, calenders, shakers, heat presses. We select by print width and volume and check with a test print.

How long does it take to get sewing equipment?

Series machines — depending on availability, usually 15–45 days. Road delivery to Tashkent takes 12–20 days, rail 18–30 days.

What about spare parts and needles?

We include a consumables kit for the entire fleet of machines in the delivery and can set up regular scheduled deliveries.
