Buying in China: what you need to know
China is the world’s largest elevator market, home to both joint ventures of international brands and strong domestic manufacturers. Kone, Mitsubishi Electric, Hitachi and Hyundai have factories in China; well-known Chinese companies include Canny (Suzhou) and Sicher (Huzhou). So you can buy an elevator from China at different levels: from products of global brands’ factories to more affordable domestic makes.
An elevator is not bought “from a catalogue”. It is selected for the shaft and pit dimensions, top floor height, number of stops, load capacity and speed, and whether there is a machine room. The drive and traction machine, control system, doors and car finishes matter, and for hospital elevators — a car size that fits a stretcher. For escalators — inclination angle, rise, step width and duty (shopping centre or transport hub).
Typical buyer mistakes: ordering an elevator without checking the actual shaft dimensions against the factory drawing; not taking into account the area’s seismicity and the requirements for guide rail fixing; not allowing for spare parts and training of maintenance staff. Another mistake is not checking in advance which documents are needed to register the elevator in your country, and running into this only after installation.

Technical documentation
Passport, installation drawings, wiring diagrams, operation and maintenance manuals in Russian.

How long does an elevator take?
Production follows the factory schedule, and we fix the timeline in the contract. Delivery to Tashkent by truck takes 12–20 days, by rail 18–30 days.
