Buying in China: what you need to know
China’s main ceramic tile production centre is Foshan in Guangdong province: hundreds of factories and the largest wholesale tile exhibitions are located there. There are also notable clusters in Jinjiang (Fujian), Zibo (Shandong) and Jiangxi province. Sanitary ceramics are concentrated in Chaozhou and Foshan, taps and brass fittings in Kaiping and Heshan (Guangdong) and Nan’an (Fujian). So you can buy porcelain tiles wholesale from China, with matching sanitaryware, from different factories but combine them in one shipment.
When choosing tiles, design and size are not the only things that matter. Check water absorption (minimal for porcelain tiles), calibre, flatness, grade and shade batch number. Tiles of the same item code from different batches can differ in shade, so for one project they should be taken from a single batch. For sanitaryware, check glaze thickness and firing; for taps, body material (brass or zinc alloy), cartridge and finish.
Factory levels vary greatly. Major brands — Dongpeng, Marco Polo, Monalisa, Nobel in tiles; Arrow, Huida, JOMOO, Hegii, Faenza in sanitaryware — cost more but are more consistent. Thousands of mid-sized factories make similar collections under other brands, and that is where variation in calibre and grade is greater. A typical mistake is choosing tiles from a catalogue photo or showroom without seeing the actual batch, and not allowing extra for cutting and breakage.

Shipping: what to keep in mind
Heavy cargo
Tiles are heavy: a truck or container is loaded by weight, not volume; we calculate this in advance.
Breakage protection
Tiles ship only on pallets with rigid strapping; large formats in wooden crates.
Mixed loads
Sanitaryware and bathroom furniture can go in the same truck as the tiles, with the weight distributed correctly.

Some ceramics and sanitaryware require an O‘zstandart certificate of conformity; we check by the HS code of each item.
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia (EAEU)
Conformity assessment depends on the product type: some items are certified under national rules. We check by HS code before purchase.

An invoice and packing list with item codes, m² quantities and batch numbers — this simplifies customs and accounting.

Preparing an order at the factory depends on availability, usually 15–45 days for standard products. Delivery to Tashkent by truck takes 12–20 days, by rail 18–30 days.
