Buying in China: what you need to know
Chinese trucks are built by several large groups, each with its own base and its own component suppliers. Sinotruk (HOWO, Sitrak) is in Jinan, Shandong province; Shacman is in Xi’an, Shaanxi province; FAW Jiefang is in Changchun; Dongfeng is in Hubei province; Foton is in Beijing. Engines are most often Weichai, Yuchai or the group’s own units, and gearboxes are Fast Gear or equivalents. So buying a dump truck from China means choosing not just a brand but a specific configuration: the same HOWO can come with different axles, gearbox and frame.
We start from the job. For quarries and heavy ground — a 6x4 or 8x4 axle configuration, a reinforced frame, a body made of wear-resistant steel, and axles with hub reduction. For highway work — a 4x2 or 6x4 tractor unit with a fuel-efficient engine and the right axle ratio. In Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, adaptation to heat and dust matters: a cyclone air filter, an enlarged radiator, air conditioning and sump protection. We choose the engine emission class according to the requirements of the country of registration, not according to what happens to be in stock.
Factories and dealers differ a lot. The manufacturer and its export division provide the full specification, service documentation and parts catalogues. Resellers often offer “stock” vehicles from the Chinese domestic market: a different emission class, a spec not suited to the CIS, sometimes vehicles that have stood in a yard for a long time. A typical buyer’s mistake is comparing trucks only on price and horsepower without checking the axles, gearbox, cab type and year of manufacture.

- We confirm the engine, gearbox, axles and axle ratio, frame, cab and tyres with the factory. Everything is fixed in the contract so that no components are swapped.

- We check the engine emission class, year of manufacture, VIN and engine number against factory documents — this matters for customs and registration.
- Climate-ready configuration
- We confirm the filters, cooling system, air conditioning, protection and batteries for hot and dusty operation.
- Inspection and test run

Driven or transported
Trucks can be driven across the border on their own wheels or carried on lowbeds and rail flatcars. We choose the option based on mileage, timeline and cost.
Lead times
Series vehicles are usually assembled in 15–45 days, followed by delivery: by road China→Tashkent 12–20 days, by rail 18–30 days.
Fleet batches
For several vehicles we arrange shipment as a convoy or a rail batch, with a single set of documents.
Documents and certificates
Uzbekistan
An O‘zstandart certificate of conformity and vehicle registration are required. We check the emission class and registration requirements before purchase.
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia (EAEU)
TR CU 018/2011 “On the safety of wheeled vehicles”: a vehicle type approval (VTA) held by the manufacturer, or a single vehicle safety certificate (SBKTS), followed by an electronic vehicle passport. We check by HS code.
For all countries
Invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and factory documents with the VIN and engine number.
Requirements depend on the exact HS code. We check them before purchase and include the cost of certification in the quote.

EAEU rates are taken from the official EAEU Common Customs Tariff (EEC Council Decision No. 80), excluding preferences and temporary exemptions. For Uzbekistan and other countries the calculator uses the rate of the selected country. The final code depends on the exact product description.

Will you help register the truck?
We prepare the factory document package, arrange certification to the requirements of the importing country and advise on the registration procedure. The registration itself is done by the authorities in your country.
Are spare parts and service available?
Together with the vehicles we can supply a starter kit of spare parts and service consumables. After that — regular parts deliveries by catalogue number.
