Buying in China: what you need to know
Boiler making in China is a developed industry with large enterprises and regional clusters. Industrial steam and hot water boilers are made, for example, by Zhengzhou Boiler and Taishan Group, as well as by factories in Taikang County, Henan province, known as a boiler manufacturing centre. Heat pumps are made by Gree, Midea, Phnix and others, plate heat exchangers by specialised factories such as Siping Juyuan.
A boiler is pressure equipment with a burner, so reliability matters more here than for most goods. When buying a boiler from China, it is important to check the thickness and grade of steel of the drum and tubes, weld quality, the burner and safety controls supplied, and that the pressure and fuel type suit your site. A gas burner must work at the pressure and gas composition in your network, and a coal boiler on the coal actually available in the region, with its ash content and calorific value.
Factory levels vary greatly. Large enterprises hold boiler manufacturing licences, carry out hydrostatic tests and radiographic inspection of welds, and issue a full passport. Small workshops may sell a boiler without material documents and without a strength calculation — such a boiler is hard to register and dangerous to operate. For heat exchangers the material of plates and gaskets plays a similar role: they are selected for the heat transfer medium, temperature and pressure, not just capacity.
What we do differently: we select a boiler by heat load, fuel type and heat transfer medium parameters, check material documents, hydrostatic test and weld inspection reports, and the burner and controls supplied. A boiler equipment supplier for Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan must provide the documents needed for commissioning — we agree their list before payment. Boilers and boiler house components — pumps, heat exchangers, valves — can be combined in one shipment.

Shipping: what to keep in mind
Oversized boilers
Industrial boilers are often oversized in width or height: we plan the route, transport and permits in advance.
Securing and protection
We secure boilers and heat exchangers on a frame, cap the nozzles and protect insulation and controls from moisture.
Domestic boilers
Wall-hung boilers and radiators are convenient to ship as groupage together with other building services equipment.
Documents and certificates
Uzbekistan
O‘zstandart certificate of conformity for items subject to mandatory certification; for pressure boilers — documents for registration and commissioning. We check by HS code.
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia (EAEU)
Steam and hot water pressure boilers generally fall under TR CU 032/2013, gas boilers under TR CU 016/2011 “On the safety of appliances operating on gaseous fuel”. We check by HS code.
Boiler passport
A passport with strength calculation, material certificates, hydrostatic test and weld inspection reports — we request it before shipping.
Requirements depend on the exact HS code. We check them before purchase and include the cost of certification in the quote.

EAEU rates are taken from the official EAEU Common Customs Tariff (EEC Council Decision No. 80), excluding preferences and temporary exemptions. For Uzbekistan and other countries the calculator uses the rate of the selected country. The final code depends on the exact product description.

Yes, gasketed and brazed. For selection we need the duty, the heat transfer media and their inlet and outlet temperatures.
What documents are needed to register a boiler?
The list depends on the country and boiler type. Usually a passport with strength calculation, material certificates and test reports are required — we agree the list before payment.
