Water treatment and reverse osmosis systems from China
We select water treatment equipment based on your water analysis, not a catalogue. Our engineers design such systems themselves and check Chinese plants on process grounds.
Buying in China: what you need to know
China has hundreds of water treatment equipment factories — from household filter assemblers to makers of industrial reverse osmosis plants and wastewater treatment systems. Components are made separately: membranes (Vontron, Keensen and others), fibreglass pressure vessels, control valves (for example Runxin), high-pressure pumps (CNP and others). The plant assembler usually does not make these parts: it buys them, mounts them on a skid and adds controls and piping. So the quality of a plant is determined by which components it chose.
That is why the same “5 m³/h reverse osmosis plant” from two suppliers can differ several times over in service life. The difference lies in the number and type of membranes, the pump, the pretreatment and the controls. Insufficient pretreatment, a wrong permeate recovery or no flushing mean the membranes foul within months. Another common problem is vessels and piping made from materials not rated for the operating pressure or for contact with salty concentrate.
A typical buyer’s mistake is ordering a plant without an analysis of the raw water. Hardness, iron, manganese, total dissolved solids, turbidity and SDI determine the process design. Borehole water often needs iron removal and softening before RO; wastewater requires a design based on pollutant load, not volume. Buying a water treatment plant from China “by capacity” without this data means paying extra for rework.
What we do differently: we first look at the water analysis and the required quality, then work out the process design and check the factory’s offer component by component — membranes, pumps, vessels, controls. If it is cheaper to assemble the plant in Uzbekistan from Chinese components, we offer that option. We deliver water treatment equipment to Tashkent, across Uzbekistan, to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

How we check this particular product
- Process design against water analysis
- We compare the design with the raw water analysis and the required quality. We check the membrane system projection in the membrane manufacturer’s software.
- Membranes
- We check the manufacturer, model and number of membranes, plus permeate recovery and salt rejection in the projection.
- Pumps and vessels
- We check the high-pressure pump against its duty point, and membrane and filter vessels for pressure rating and material.
- Controls and flushing
- We check dry-run and high-pressure protection, the membrane cleaning system (CIP) and conductivity sensors.
- Test run
- We ask the factory to do a test run on water and send a video and a report with permeate and pressure readings.
What to send for an accurate quote
- Raw water analysis: hardness, iron, manganese, TDS, turbidity
- Required water quality and use: drinking, process, boilers, irrigation
- Capacity (m³/h or m³/day) and operating mode
- For wastewater — flow and composition, discharge requirements
- Installation location: indoors, outdoors, container; voltage
- Delivery city and timeline
Shipping: what to keep in mind
Membranes and resins
Membranes and ion-exchange resins must not freeze or dry out — in winter we choose the route and packaging with temperature in mind.
Containerised plants
Plants in a container ship as a finished module; we agree unloading and site access in advance.
Tanks and vessels
Fibreglass vessels and tanks are bulky and fragile — we crate them and calculate the load by volume.
Documents and certificates
Uzbekistan
O‘zstandart certificate of conformity for equipment subject to mandatory certification; for drinking water supply equipment — a hygiene certificate. We check by HS code.
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia (EAEU)
For plants with electrical equipment — TR CU 010/2011 and 004/2011; equipment and materials in contact with drinking water may need a sanitary and epidemiological assessment. We check by HS code.
Technical data
Membrane system projection, P&ID, passports and manuals — we request them from the factory before shipping.
Requirements depend on the exact HS code. We check them before purchase and include the cost of certification in the quote.
HS codes and duty rates
| HS code | Product | EAEU CCT rate (KZ, KG, RU) | Calculate for your country |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8421 21 000 9 | Machinery for filtering or purifying water | 0% | Calculate |
| 8421 29 000 9 | Other machinery for filtering liquids | 0% | Calculate |
| 8421 99 000 6 | Other parts of filtering machinery | 0% | Calculate |
| 8413 50 400 0 | Dosing pumps | 0% | Calculate |
| 8413 70 890 0 | Multistage centrifugal pumps | 0% | Calculate |
| 3914 00 000 0 | Ion-exchangers based on polymers | 6.5% | Calculate |
EAEU rates are taken from the official EAEU Common Customs Tariff (EEC Council Decision No. 80), excluding preferences and temporary exemptions. For Uzbekistan and other countries the calculator uses the rate of the selected country. The final code depends on the exact product description.
Questions about this category
Can I buy a reverse osmosis plant without a water analysis?
You can, but it is a risk. Without an analysis it is impossible to choose the right pretreatment, membranes and recovery, and the plant quickly loses capacity. An analysis costs much less than rework.
Which membranes do Chinese plants use?
It depends on the factory and the price: Chinese Vontron, Keensen or global-brand membranes. We fix the membrane model in the specification so that it cannot be swapped without approval.
Can you help design a water treatment system?
Yes, our engineers design such systems. Send us the water analysis, required quality and capacity, and we will propose a process design.
Do you supply wastewater treatment plants?
Yes: MBR, package treatment units, flotation units and sludge dewatering equipment. For wastewater we need the flow, composition and discharge requirements.
How long does a plant take?
Standard plants depend on availability, usually 15–45 days. Complex and custom plants follow the factory schedule, which we fix in the contract. Delivery to Tashkent by truck takes 12–20 days.
Can a plant be assembled in Uzbekistan from Chinese components?
Yes, if it works out better on price or logistics. We supply membranes, vessels, pumps and controls separately, and assembly is done on site.
Do you have spare membranes and cartridges?
Yes. We recommend ordering a set of consumables together with the plant and can arrange regular deliveries.
