Buying in China: what you need to know
China makes compressors of every type. Kaishan (Quzhou, Zhejiang) produces screw compressors and its own airends, Denair is based in Shanghai, and Hanbell is known for airends used by many assemblers. Piston compressors are made in large numbers in Taizhou (Zhejiang). Many small factories build compressors around bought-in airends — so when buying a compressor from China it is important to know whose airend is inside and who is responsible for its warranty and spare parts.
Selection starts with demand. Capacity is calculated as the sum of consumer flows with a simultaneity factor and a margin; pressure from the most demanding consumer plus network losses. Then the type is chosen: fixed-speed or variable-speed drive (worthwhile with variable demand), belt or direct drive, oil-injected or oil-free. Air quality is set by the dryer (refrigerated or desiccant) and the filtration stages.
Cheap assemblers economise on the airend, motor, cooling system and controller. In Uzbekistan’s hot climate this shows up quickly: overheating and shutdowns in summer. So for Central Asia we check the design ambient temperature and the cooling margin. Top-tier brands generally give accurate data on capacity at a given pressure, specific power and noise level, as well as a service network and spare parts in the region.
Typical mistakes are buying a compressor twice the needed size “to be safe” without a VSD, forgetting the dryer and getting condensate in the network, and taking a receiver without pressure vessel documents. We select the whole compressed air system, from compressor to filters and piping, check actual capacity on the factory test bench, and deliver to Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries with filters and oil for the first service.

- We check the airend maker, the motor’s efficiency class and protection rating, and the drive type.
- Test bench capacity
- We ask for a factory bench test showing actual capacity and pressure.

- We check the maximum permissible ambient temperature and the capacity of the cooling system.

- We check the vessel passport, design pressure, safety valve and hydrostatic test report.

Documents and certificates
Uzbekistan
An O‘zstandart certificate of conformity — if the equipment is on the mandatory certification list. We check by HS code.
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia (EAEU)
Compressors — usually TR CU 010/2011, the electrical part — 004/2011 and 020/2011; receivers and vessels — TR CU 032/2013. We check by HS code.
Pressure vessels
We request the vessel passport and hydrostatic test report from the factory — without them a receiver is hard to register and operate.
Requirements depend on the exact HS code. We check them before purchase and include the cost of certification in the quote.

EAEU rates are taken from the official EAEU Common Customs Tariff (EEC Council Decision No. 80), excluding preferences and temporary exemptions. For Uzbekistan and other countries the calculator uses the rate of the selected country. The final code depends on the exact product description.

Which screw compressor does my plant need?

Is a compressor with a variable-speed drive worth it?
If air demand varies noticeably during a shift, variable-speed control reduces power consumption. At constant full load, a fixed-speed compressor is more economical.
Kaishan or an assembler using a bought-in airend — what is the difference?
Kaishan makes its own airends and complete compressors. Assemblers buy airends from other manufacturers. We always state whose airend is in the offer.
Will the compressor run in summer in Uzbekistan?
We check the permissible ambient temperature and the cooling margin. If needed we order a version with enhanced cooling and advise on compressor room ventilation.
Do you supply portable diesel compressors?
Yes, wheeled units for construction, drilling and mining. We select them by capacity and pressure for your tools.
How long does it take to get a compressor?
Series models — depending on availability, usually 15–45 days. Road delivery to Tashkent takes 12–20 days. Filters and separators for the first service are included in the delivery.
Are documents needed for a receiver?
Yes. A receiver is a pressure vessel; it needs a passport and test report, and in the EAEU conformity with TR CU 032/2013. We request the documents from the factory before shipment.
